On 11 November 2009, Anna Kreikemeyer participated in an opening panel on „Scientific dialogue and cooperation in crisis states“ at the annual symposium of the DAAD for the heads of the Akademischen Auslandsämter, International Offices and representatives for international affairs at German universities at the Wissenschaftszentrum in Bonn. Besides speakers with project experience in the regions Near East and Africa, Anna Kreikemeyer spoke together with Andrea Schmitz from the German Institute for International and Security Affairs on her experiences and views on possibilities and barriers of Capacity Building in Central Asia.
