From 17-18 December 2009 Anna Kreikemeyer participated in an international conference in Berlin on “Forms of Rule in the post-Soviet Space” jointly organized by the German Society for Eastern European Studies and the German Institute for International and Security Affairs. It was the aim of the participating experts to discuss current conceptual approaches for the explanation of post-Soviet forms of rule and relate them to the relatively different developed case studies of Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and the Central Asian States.
