With the establishment of the Centre for
OSCE Research, an OSCE Depository Library was set up within
the framework of the IFSH
library in which the most important OSCE documents are
retained.
Its current inventory includes i. a.: Journals
of the OSCE Permanent Council since the beginning of 1995,
Background Papers from the Office for Democratic Institutions
and Human Rights, Journals of the Forum for Security Co-operation
since 1999 as well as the Secretary General's Annual Reports
since 1993, numerous OSCE pamphlets such as OSCE Newsletters
(since 1994), a compilation of CSCE/OSCE Decisions since
1994 and the Official Verbatim Records of CSCE/OSCE Summit
Meetings of Heads of State or Government. In addition, there
are a number of brochures on other OSCE institutions (e.g.
the High Commissioner on National Minorities, the OSCE Parliamentary
Assembly). A CD-Rom issued by the OSCE containing a compilation
of numerous CSCE/OSCE documents from 1973 to 1997 completes
the collections. This repository of significant OSCE documents
is continually augmented.
In addition, there is literature available
on the OSCE itself (Yearbooks, Handbooks) as well as books
with a focus on nation building, nationalism and majority-minority
relationships in the European and Central Asian OSCE countries.
