Lebenslauf
Jens Narten studierte Politikwissenschaft, Sozialwissenschaften
und Humanitäres Völkerrecht in Colorado/USA, Hannover, Bochum
und Uppsala/Schweden mit den Abschlüssen BA (1997), Diplom-Sozialwissenschaftler
(1999) und MA Humanitarian Assistance (2000). Von 2001-2004
arbeitete er, sekundiert vom Auswärtigen Amt, in der OSZE-Mission
im Kosovo als Senior Human Rights Officer und HR Training
Co-ordinator. In Rahmen von Lehraufträgen leitete er Seminarveranstaltungen
an den Universitäten
Prishtina/Kosovo, Hannover und Marburg zu den Themen „Human Rights and International Organisations“ und „Conflict
Resolution: Applied Methods and Skills“. Seit November 2004
ist er als Doktorand am Institut für Friedensforschung und
Sicherheitspolitik / Zentrum für OSZE-Forschung in Hamburg
tätig und erhielt dafür ein zweijähriges Forschungsstipendium
der Deutschen Stiftung Friedensforschung.
Er ist Teilnehmer der Research
Partnership on Postwar State-Building (RPPS) und
Autor im Projekt External
Democracy Promotion in Post-Conflict States sowie
Er ist Teilnehmer am EU-Forschungsprojekt Multi-stakeholder
Partnerships in Post-conflict.
